Newburyport Lighting is proud to announce that it is the exclusive lighting sponsor of Boston magazine’s Design Home 2014, which will open its doors to the public for four weeks of house tours, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Children’s Hospital Boston this October. Newburyport Lighting will showcase a variety of fixtures and lighting systems which will be seen throughout the custom-designed, net-zero energy-efficient home.
“We’re excited and honored to be the exclusive lighting sponsor of this year’s Design Home project,” says NLC owners Steve and AnnMarie Leary. “The owners of this new house have a deep commitment to energy efficiency and green living which we applaud, and the beneficiary of the event — Children’s Hospital — is an important institution for which we have great admiration.”
Over the past few years Bostonians have made a significant shift in thinking: bigger is not always better, 10,000 square foot homes are no longer the trend, and shopping big box stores is a faux pas. Located in Salisbury, MA, the Design Home which is currently under construction is a single family house designed and styled with eco-friendly appliances, smart home furnishings and locally sourced products.
Unlike other home projects in the market, the Boston Design Home will feature a cohesive design aesthetic, managed by Design Coordinator Lisa Wasserman Sivan, and showcase leading design components, brands, and products from the Greater Boston design community.
